Liberia Intellectual Property Office (LIPO) Commemorates World Intellectual Property Day 2026
Monrovia, Liberia – April 2026 – The Liberia Intellectual Property Office (LIPO) is pleased to announce its participation in the global celebration of World Intellectual Property Day 2026, under the theme: “IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate.”
World Intellectual Property Day, observed annually on April 26, is an initiative of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) aimed at increasing awareness of how intellectual property (IP) rights contribute to innovation, creativity, and economic development worldwide.
In commemoration of this important occasion, LIPO will host a series of activities designed to highlight the intersection of intellectual property and sports, and the role IP plays in driving technological advancement, protecting creativity, and building strong brands within the sports industry.
The planned events include:

- Sports Day: May 2, 2026
These events will bring together policymakers, innovators, creatives, athletes, and members of the public to engage in meaningful discussions and activities centered on innovation and creativity in sports.
