Requirements and Steps

Ensure the work is complete and in a fixed form (written, recorded, or saved digitally).
Step 2
Complete Application Form
Fill out the copyright registration form with details of the creator, ownership, and nature of the work.
Step 3
Submit Copies of Work
Provide copies or samples of the work to be registered (e.g., manuscript, audio file, video, or image).
Step 4
Pay Registration Fee
Pay the required registration fee as determined by LIPO.
Step 5
Review and Verification
LIPO reviews the application to verify completeness and eligibility of the work.
Step 6
Certificate Issuance
Upon approval, LIPO issues a copyright certificate as proof of registration.
Important Note: Copyright protection exists automatically upon creation of a work. Registration with LIPO provides legal evidence of ownership and strengthens enforcement rights.
